Logos are the things that say I AM HERE, things like Target's target symbol, so clever that one, and Google's "GOOGLE" symbol are logos that we all know very well. They are ment to leave you with a lasting image in your mind so when you see their symbol you know right away who it is representing.

A logo I made my myself for a web page I was starting. The website was "One-Eyed Productions" as you can see the block head person has only... one eye. Obvious yet effective.
